Dewazukara sake brewery was established in 1892. Since its foundation, Dewazukara has been committed to quality as the top priority for the brewery. They have played a significant role in the Yamagata prefecture developing their own rice suited to their region with the local bureau of agriculture, known as Dewa sansan. This rice makes a very soft and deep-flavoured style of sake.
