Matured 11 months in 15% new French oak. The aromas beckon tantalisingly – sour cherry, mulberry, red licorice, fennel seed, dried herbs, tilled earth. This barbera is such a delight, so open and inviting and lifted, with fruit to the fore while delivering plenty of juicy crunch. The tannin presence is fine and ripe. Love the red licorice spiciness to close.
