The fruit for this baby comes from an incredible vineyard in Whorouly South in the Alpine Valley. Tim and Mark Walpole planted the 18-hectare vineyard in 1989 and selected it because of its north-east aspect and well-drained gravel and red loam soils ideal for growing Sangiovese.
Aromatic and enchanting, this wine has tempting aromas of cherries and wild raspberries with complexing hints of savoury earth and spice.
Earthy and savoury with fleshy raspberry and ripe black plum balanced by juicy acidity with velvety tannins providing subtle support.
